Hey, it’s Peppe here again!

So… you're heading from Lisbon to the Algarve? That’s amazing — but let me give you one piece of advice: don’t just transfer — travel.

This isn't just a ride down the highway. This is your chance to experience more of Portugal along the way, turning a simple travel day into a rich, fun-filled memory.

Let me show you how we do it — Peppe-style.

Lisbon to Algarve: A coastal adventure

I’ll pick you up in my comfortable and spacious vehicle (with plenty of room for luggage and leg-stretching), and together we’ll make our way south (or vice versa) — but not without some magical detours along the way ( to be chosen).

Here’s some ideas I recommend:

Palmela or Azeitão: Wine, Castles & Views

We can kick things off in Palmela or nearby Azeitão — two hidden gems often missed by most travelers. In Palmela, you’ll find a hilltop castle with sweeping views over vineyards and the Tagus estuary. Azeitão? Think wine tastings, artisanal cheese, and charming streets. It’s the perfect way to ease into the journey.

Vila Nova de Milfontes: Coastal charm with a laid-back soul

If you’re in the mood for Atlantic breezes and a slower pace, Vila Nova de Milfontes is a wonderful stop along the Alentejo coast. Set between the Mira River and the ocean, this town is ideal for a relaxing lunch by the water, a beachside walk, or just soaking in the local vibe. It’s a peaceful break that feels worlds away from the tourist rush.

Silves: A Moorish legacy in the heart of the Algarve

For those interested in history, Silves offers a beautiful inland detour. Once the Moorish capital of the Algarve, the town is crowned by a striking red-stone castle and has a timeless, quiet energy. It’s the perfect place for a short visit — enjoy a stroll through the old streets, visit the fortress, or sip a coffee with a castle view.

Feeling Adventurous? Let’s Switch It Up!

Don’t feel like Palmela? Want to dig deeper into Portugal’s soul? We can swap one of the stops for:

  • Alcácer do Sal: History and riverside calm

Built along the Sado River, this peaceful town is steeped in history and perfect for a riverside stroll or a coffee break with a castle view. It’s also a good alternative to one of the other stops if you’re looking for somewhere less touristy but rich in charm.

Évora: Where history whispers from every stone: A walk through Évora feels like stepping into a time machine. This UNESCO World Heritage city is packed with layers of history — from the stunning Roman Temple and Gothic Cathedral to charming whitewashed streets and hidden courtyards. You’ll see medieval arches, Roman ruins, and even a chapel lined with bones (yes, bones — and it’s surprisingly peaceful!). Whether you’re sipping local Alentejo wine in a sunny square or wandering through centuries-old alleyways, Évora is a deep dive into Portugal’s soul.

Everything is flexible. This is your journey. I’m just here to help you make it unforgettable.
